Sandro Eckert

Sandro Eckert has a diverse work experience in the field of laser technology and engineering. Sandro is currently working at Access Laser as an Application & Sales Engineer, where their main responsibilities include supporting customers in laser application development, translating customer needs into technical requirements, and managing pre/post-sales activities. Prior to their current role, Sandro served as a Deputy Group Leader - Laser Microstructuring at BIAS - Bremer Institut für angewandte Strahltechnik GmbH from October 2018 to May 2020. Sandro also worked as an R&D Project Engineer at the same company from May 2015 to May 2020. Before their time at BIAS, Sandro worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT from October 2010 to November 2014. Sandro began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Institut für Textiltechnik der RWTH Aachen University from March 2009 to September 2010.

Sandro Eckert completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics at RWTH Aachen University from 2008 to 2012. Sandro then pursued a Master of Science degree in Physics with a focus on Solid State Physics and Laser Technology at the same university from 2012 to 2014. After that, they attended the University of Bremen from 2016 to 2022, where they obtained their Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) degree in Production Engineering.
