Patrick Dobens

Patrick Dobens has a diverse work experience in various roles. Patrick started their career at Dartmouth College, where they worked as a Research Assistant, conducting research on cellular communication in plants. Patrick also served as an Organic Chemistry / Genetics Teaching Assistant and as an Undergraduate Advisor, where they provided academic advice and resources to students.

In 2011, Patrick joined Access Softek as an Implementation Manager, where they established and led a team to maximize digital banking adoption among credit union users. Patrick then moved on to the role of Product Manager, Mobile Banking, where they refined the product strategy and roadmap for mobile banking apps. Patrick managed a team of engineers and delivered quarterly app releases to customers.

Later, Patrick became a Senior Product Manager, Team Lead at Access Softek. Patrick co-managed a 20-person product team and built banking software for credit unions. Patrick also initiated a monthly strategy meeting with executives to streamline communication and align priorities. Patrick successfully finalized the rollout of a fraud prevention product that was behind schedule by engaging with customers to identify crucial product gaps.

Currently, Patrick is serving as a Senior Product Manager, Investments, and also as a Senior Product Manager, Team Lead at Access Softek. In their role as a Senior Product Manager, Investments, they oversee the EasyVest robo advisor, offering affordable and simplified investing services to new investors. As a Senior Product Manager, Team Lead, they continue to co-manage the product team and promote financial wellness for millions of consumers through banking software.

Patrick Dobens attended Dartmouth College from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained an A.B. degree in Biology with a focus on Biochemistry. In 2010, they also spent a year studying at Universidad de las Américas Puebla, with a focus on Spanish, Mexican Literature, and History. Additionally, Patrick holds several certifications, including an Investment Advisor/Representative certification from NASAA obtained in March 2021, a Certified SAFe 5 Product Owner / Product Manager certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. obtained in April 2020, and an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT Sloan Executive Education.
