Alan Hamilton is a seasoned commissioning engineer with extensive experience in the energy and water treatment sectors. Currently employed at ACCIONA since May 2021, Alan oversees operations at the Kwinana Waste to Energy Facility, managing 400,000 tons of municipal waste annually and 40MW of export capacity to the grid. Previous roles include commissioning manager for Veolia Australia and New Zealand at the Springvale Mt. Piper water treatment facility, LOTO coordinator for First Quantum Minerals on the Cobre Panama Project, and various commissioning engineering and management positions at firms such as RCR Tomlinson, UGL Limited, and Leighton Contractors. Alan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, earned between 1978 and 1983.
