Amit Sinha

Amit is a Managing Director with more than two decades of advisory, accounting, and performance improvement experience with clients across a variety of different industries.

Before joining Accordion, Amit has held various roles such as Controller, Shared Services Leader, ERP/EPM Implementation Leader, and has also helped companies through various Finance Transformations, and audit and compliance related matters.

Amit was the Controller for the North American operations of a $2B SaaS technology company. Amit oversaw operational accounting, technical accounting, shared services, and reporting. Prior to the Controller role, Amit was Finance and Accounting lead for the implementation of Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM suite, and also established and operationalized an offshore shared services team. Amit also led efforts in audit and compliance for companies that were about to and have entered the public markets.

Amit has breadth of experiences in a variety of industries including technology, consumer products, automotive, manufacturing and financial services.

Amit spent his early career in the assurance and advisory practices of Ernst & Young where he was responsible for performing and reviewing audit procedures, building Internal Audit departments, establishing Enterprise Risk Management Programs and executing various finance transformation projects including close process improvements, accounting interpretation consultations, ERP selection and implementation, redesigning chart of accounts to meet the needs of various stakeholders and documenting accounting policies to name a few.

Amit graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in accounting. Early on in his career, Amit also obtained his Certified Public Accountant and Certified Information Systems Auditor designations.
