Accounting Freedom is a CPA and advisory firm serving small businesses across Illinois and Wisconsin. Founded in 1981, we've spent over 40 years helping owners replace the chaos of DIY books and once-a-year tax filings with clear financial visibility and proactive advice.

We work best with established small business owners doing $500K to $15M in revenue — contractors, medical and dental practices, restaurants, insurance agencies, and family-owned businesses. The kind of operators who want a team, not a solo CPA who disappears during busy season.

What we do:
Monthly accounting and bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online
Tax planning and preparation (business and personal)
Payroll, HR, and retirement plan administration (through our sister firm, Payroll Freedom)
Outsourced CFO and advisory services
KPI dashboards, budget vs. actual, and 90-day cash flow forecasting
IRS representation and audit defense
Wealth management coordination

Why Accounting Freedom:
You get a team, not a solo practitioner — dedicated client advisor plus a full support team behind them
All-in-one — accounting, tax, payroll, HR, and retirement coordinated under one roof, so nothing falls through the cracks
Proactive, not reactive — monthly meetings, real-time conversations, no surprises in April
Plain language — if you don't understand your numbers, we haven't done our job
We run on EOS ourselves, so we understand how growing businesses really operate
Local — offices in Mundelein, IL and Grafton, WI, with clients across the Midwest
