Laura Sciacovelli is currently a coordinator for External Quality Assessment Programs at the Centre of Biomedical Research for Quality in Laboratory Medicine in Italy, where they have been involved since 1996. They also serve as the Head of Quality Assurance at the UOC Medicine di Laboratorio at the University Hospital of Padova and have held the position of Technical Inspector for ISO 15189 Accreditation with Accredia since 2015. With over 100 publications in national and international scientific journals, Laura has demonstrated expertise in quality management and risk management within laboratory medicine. They previously served on the board of the Italian Society of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology (SIBioC) and held the role of Past-President. Laura holds a specialization in Biochemistry and Clinical Chemistry from the University of Parma and a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Padova.
