Jake Ford

Jake Ford has a diverse work experience that spans across different roles and companies. In 2008, they worked part-time as a Technician / Designer at Hit Print + Design, where they handled various customer needs, including producing legal documents, photographs, photo restorations, and graphic design work. From 2011 to 2011, Jake worked as an Intern Designer at Johnson Chou, where they completed print graphics for branding clients, construction shop drawings, and renderings. Additionally, they took online courses to learn new software during this time. In 2013, Jake co-founded MySkillBase, an online job application platform, where they served as the Co-Founder and Designer. Jake was responsible for visual continuity, interaction design, and business development. In 2014, Jake co-founded BluePerch, a job search platform that eliminates search from the job search process. As the Chief Product Officer, they ensured the display of job information and posts in a user-friendly way on mobile devices. Finally, in 2020, they joined Accredible as a Product Manager, where they currently work.

Jake Ford completed their Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree at The University of British Columbia from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained their Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Architectural Studies (Design) and Philosophy from the University of Toronto, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Jake obtained the Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification from Scrum.org in November 2020.
