Shai Revzen

Shai Revzen is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Michigan, where they founded the Bio-Inspired Robotics and Dynamical Systems (BIRDS) lab. Their research focuses on the intersection of robotics and biology, particularly in multi-legged locomotion and robust control of hybrid systems. Shai is also a co-founder and Chief Science Officer of AccuLine, a biomedical startup, and has pursued further studies in law at Wayne State University, expecting to earn a JD in 2026. Prior to their current roles, Shai held various positions in software architecture, product design, and research at institutions including the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Pennsylvania.
