Bob MacLafferty

Bob MacLafferty has an extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Bob has held various leadership roles in healthcare organizations across the United States. Their most recent position was as the Bridging Director of Laboratory Services at ACCUMEN Inc., where they oversaw the transition of laboratory services from contracted management to a hospital department. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Laboratory Services at B.E. Smith, where they streamlined operations and mentored staff. Bob also served as the Director of Laboratory Services at Owensboro Health, where they created a laboratory service line and empowered their team. Bob has held administrative laboratory director roles at several other medical centers, including Ukiah Valley Medical Center, Copper Basin Medical Center, Oconee Memorial Hospital, and Tennessee Christian Medical Center. Additionally, they have worked at Tennessee Christian Medical Center-Portland as a Laboratory Director, Ancillary Services Director, Clinical Informatics Coordinator, and Senior Medical Technologist. Bob started their career as a Medical Technologist at Florida Hospital. Bob's work experience showcases their expertise in laboratory services and their ability to lead teams, streamline operations, and drive positive change.

Bob MacLafferty obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Medical Technology from Southern Adventist University from 1980 to 1985. In 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Organizational Leadership degree at Western Kentucky University. Bob also holds additional certifications, including "Leading a Customer-Centric Culture" from LinkedIn obtained in October 2016 and a certification in Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
