Application Engineer at AccuSentry

Mauricio Rojas Nova has worked in a variety of roles since 2018. In 2021, they began working as an Application Engineer at AccuSentry and as a Researcher at Universidad Industrial de Santander. At the latter, they developed a mathematical model to select arc welding processes for ferrous materials taking into account dynamic and static loads, and they published papers in Ciencia en desarrollo journal of Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia and Journal of Physics: Conference Series. In 2020, they worked as a Researcher at Fuerza Aérea Colombiana, providing advice on research, development, and innovation in the design phase of the mechanical systems, launchpad and test bench of a sounding rocket. Mauricio was also a speaker at Congreso Nacional de Actividades Espaciales of Mexican Space Agency and VIII Congreso Internacional de Ciencia y Tecnología Aeroespacial. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Universidad Industrial de Santander, supporting classes of the fluid transport systems laboratory, evaluating students' performance, and maintaining the proper functioning of laboratory equipment. Mauricio also integrated educational activities as a method of recreation and learning, which motivated students to improve their professional and research skills.

Mauricio Rojas Nova completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Industrial de Santander between 2014 and 2020. Mauricio has also obtained several certifications, including a Curso de Introducción a React.js from Platzi in November 2022, a JS Challenge: Diploma de la Fase 1 from Platzi in October 2021, a JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures from freeCodeCamp in August 2021, a Datacademy Primera Edición from Platzi in June 2021, and a Reto de Marca Personal from Platzi in June 2021. Mauricio is currently enrolled in Data Science for All by Correlation One.
