Forecast Systems Coordinator at AccuWeather

Jordan Root is the Forecast Systems Coordinator at AccuWeather. Jordan previously worked as an intern meteorologist at Weatherist.com from May 2012 to May 2013. During their time at Weatherist.com, they developed and programmed the Most Probable Forecast model, which is used on the website for every United States city. Jordan also analyzed extensive amounts of data for many cities that were implemented into the model. Jordan coded other models and programs including the hourly forecast which is featured on the website as well. Since they were brought in during the company's start-up period, they also contributed to getting the company on its feet and off running in the weather business. Jordan provided the company with creative ideas and provided general meteorology information and advice. During their period at Weatherist.com, they also routinely wrote articles for the blog portion of the website and contributed to the maintaining of social media accounts.

Jordan Root attended Penn State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. Jordan then attended Maplewood Jr/Sr High School.
