Jo-Michael Scheibe

Jo-Michael Scheibe is a US Fulbright Scholar to Ireland and a prominent conductor and music educator who currently serves as Chair and Professor at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music. With a career spanning over four decades, they have held positions at various educational institutions, including the University of Miami and Northern Arizona University, and have been involved in the American Choral Directors Association as both Vice President for International Affairs and Past National President. Passionate about promoting contemporary choral music, Jo-Michael oversees the Department of Choral and Sacred Music, conducts the USC Chamber Singers, and actively commissions works from emerging composers to foster their careers.
