Mercy Gitau

Mercy Gitau is the current Director of Finance Operations at Aceable. Prior to their current position, Mercy served as the Director of Operations at eDriving from January 2015 to November 2018. In this role, Mercy was responsible for ensuring the company's everyday activities ran smoothly and for reviewing and evaluating business procedures.

Before their time at eDriving, Mercy was the General Manager at DriversEd.com from June 2001 to December 2014. In this role, Mercy was responsible for preparing and directing the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and/or reports required by regulatory agencies. Additionally, they supervised employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting duties. Mercy also maintained current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies, and current accounting standards; monitored and evaluated the performance of accounting and other financial staff; and recommended and implemented personnel actions such as promotions and dismissals. Finally, Mercy developed and maintained relationships with banking, insurance, and non-organizational accounting personnel in order to facilitate financial activities.

Prior to their time at DriversEd.com, Mercy was an Accounting Assistant at the Chamber of Commerce (Daly City-Colma) from February 1998 to May 2001.

Mercy Gitau completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Nairobi, where they earned a Bachelor of Science. Mercy then went on to earn an MBA in Accounting & Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University.
