Arjun Shankar is an experienced professional in the field of acoustics and materials engineering. Beginning as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from January 2010 to May 2012, Arjun focused on nanolithographic techniques. This was followed by a role as a Development Engineer at Seagate Technology from June 2013 to July 2015, contributing to Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording technology. Arjun gained additional experience as a Noise Control and Acoustics Intern at ESI Engineering in 2016 and later served as an Acoustical Consultant at McKAY CONANT HOOVER, INC. from September 2017 to January 2023, where expertise in sound isolation was developed. In February 2023, Arjun joined Veneklasen Associates, Inc. as an Associate, managing large-scale architectural acoustical projects. Currently, Arjun holds the position of Senior Consultant at Acentech, starting in April 2025, leading acoustical measurement operations in various sectors across the western United States. Arjun earned a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a Master of Science in Acoustics from Penn State University.
