Bernie Marasco is a technology leader with extensive experience in software development and education technology. As the Co-Founder of AceReader, Inc. since January 2015, Marasco has contributed to the growth of AceReader reading efficiency software as Stepware, Inc.'s flagship product. In addition to this role, Marasco has been the CEO and Founder of StepWare, Inc. since 1999, overseeing the company's evolution from a research and development entity to a provider of educational software for schools and consumers. Prior to these ventures, Marasco gained valuable experience working in software development for various VC-funded startups and large corporations, including Exabyte, Datasonix, Storage Technology, NBI, and McDonnell Douglas Corporation, serving as both a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead. Marasco holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University, earned between 1979 and 1982.

AceReader is a powerful instructional web application designed to improve reading speed, fluency and comprehension in students who have already learned how to read. However, it is not about becoming a speed reader; it is about learning to read efficiently – improving speed while maintaining or improving comprehension. AceReader is used to assess and improve reading skills, and it includes a wide variety of leveled and themed reading comprehension tests, eye-pacing drills and fun eye exercise games to achieve those goals. In today’s fast-paced information age, it has become more important than ever to be a proficient reader. We believe that effective readers make effective learners, and our products help you achieve success in school, in the work place and in life. Our AceReader products have evolved over the years because we have listened to our customers’ needs, many of whom are experts in the field of education and reading. We believe that listening and responding to our customers is why we have maintained a leadership position in this field for almost two decades. AceReader is now a cloud-based program, accessible through any device with an internet connection.
