Amar Petla is a seasoned data engineering professional with extensive experience in AI/ML and modern data platforms. Currently serving as a leader in data engineering at Freeport-McMoRan since September 2023, Amar has focused on designing and deploying AI-powered data products utilizing Snowflake Cortex, integrating generative AI into production pipelines. Prior to this, Amar held senior data engineering roles at Achieve and JPMorgan Chase & Co., and worked as a lead software/data engineer at American Express. With a foundational background as a software/data engineer at Comcast and earlier experience as a programmer at Tata Consultancy Services, Amar has developed a robust skill set in data architecture and engineering. Amar holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from International Technological University, completed in May 2015.
