Sean Valiente

Sean Valiente has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sean started their career at Burger King Corporation as a Trainer/Opener, where they trained new employees and performed various duties. Sean then worked as a Junior Staff Accountant Intern at Scott A. Goffstein and Associates, LLP. Sean joined Diversified Data Technologies, LLC as a Finance Consultant before transitioning to Grasshopper as a Staff Accountant.

In 2013, Sean co-founded Ninja Accounting, LLC, a small bookkeeping firm, where they managed full accounting and bookkeeping for multiple clients. Sean also provided consulting services for clients facing accounting software and implementation issues. Sean then moved to MassChallenge as a Finance Manager, overseeing the finance department and implementing new policies and procedures for accounting and finance functions. Sean also managed cash flow, budgets, and the annual audit.

After their time at MassChallenge, Sean served as the Director of Finance and Administration at Launch Academy, Inc, a coding boot camp. Sean managed the finance and administration department, oversaw the full accounting cycle, and collaborated with external CPAs and bookkeepers. Sean also handled office operations, obtained licensure for new locations, and managed compliance issues.

Sean's next role was at Virtudent, where they held multiple positions, including Senior Finance Manager, Head of People Operations, and Director of Finance and Operations. During their tenure, they played a key role in financial management, operations, and HR duties.

In 2020, Sean joined LeanIX as the Director of Accounting and Finance - US, where they contributed to accounting and finance operations before transitioning to their current role as the VP of Finance and Operations at AchieveIt, starting in November 2022.

Sean Valiente completed their high school education at Poland Regional High School from 2003 to 2007, earning a High School Diploma. Sean then continued their studies at Bentley University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Corporate Finance & Accounting.

In terms of certifications, Sean obtained a MA Preliminary Teaching License in Business, 5-12 from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in August 2014. Later, in August 2019, they received a QuickBooks Certification from Intuit.
