Hans Mentink

Hans Mentink has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Hans started their career at Hart Nibbrig & Greeve as an Assistant Marketing Manager in 1982. Hans then joined Centraal Beheer Achmea, where they held various positions including Account Manager, Senior Account Manager, Sales Manager, and Manager of the Midden- en Kleinbedrijf department. After that, they worked as a Branchemanager Aansprakelijkheid at Centraal Beheer Achmea from 1995 to 1999. Hans then joined Centraal Beheer Achmea as a Branchemanager Motorfleet from 2000 to 2006. In 2007, they moved to Achmea Reinsurance Company N.V. and served as a Senior Manager Verzekeringen/Senior Manager Insurance Techniques until 2012. Hans was later promoted to Senior Manager Sector Zakelijk/Senior Manager Commercial Lines and eventually became the Director of Reinsurance & Analytics. In addition to their professional roles, Mentink was also involved in various other activities, including being a mentor at Cross Mentoring and being a member of the Reinsurance Committee of the Dutch Terrorism Pool (NHT) and Rotary Club Duiven.

Hans Mentink's education history begins in 1979 when they attended De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where they studied HEAO CE until 1982. In 1983, they enrolled at NIBE-SVV Opleidingen and pursued a course in Assurantie A until 1985. Hans then attended Stichting Leergang Bedrijfskunde from 1987 to 1990, followed by a Bedrijfsgeïntegreerde Management Leergang in 1990-1991. Hans later obtained PE-certificates in WFT (Basis, Schade, Leven, Beleggen) from NIBE-SVV between 2008 and 2018. In 2018-2019, they attended TIAS School for Business and Society, participating in the Programma voor Toezichthouders en Commissarissen. Additionally, Hans holds certifications in WFT-PE Plus Adviseur Schadeverzekering Zakelijk from NIBE-SVV Opleidingen in 2016 and Munich Re Reinsurance II Workshop from Munich Re (Group) in 2015.
