Amit Kumar

Amit Kumar has a diverse work experience in the semiconductor industry, starting with their current role as a Senior Engineering Manager at Achronix Semiconductor Corporation since July 2022. Prior to this, they held various positions at Achronix, including Engineering Manager in IC Packaging and Systems engineering from January 2022, and Engineering Manager in IC Packaging and system level SI/PI from July 2019 to December 2021. Amit also worked as a Principal Engineer at Achronix from July 2018 to July 2019.

Before joining Achronix, Amit worked at Intel Corporation as a Technical Lead from June 2017 to July 2018. Amit also gained experience at Microsemi Corporation as a Senior Staff Engineer from March 2017 to June 2017, and as a Staff Engineer from April 2014 to March 2017. During their time at Microsemi, they specialized in DDR3-1333/DDR4-1600 Signal and power integrity analysis, as well as 12. 5G Serdes signal and power integrity analysis.

Amit started their career at SanDisk as a Senior Hardware Engineer from February 2013 to April 2014, focusing on Signal/Power Integrity analysis for USB3.0 and SD/uSD interfaces. Prior to that, they worked at STMicroelectronics as a Technical Lead from July 2006 to February 2013, where they were responsible for electrical analysis of multiple boards/package and worked on interfaces like USB, MIPI, and DDR1/2. Amit also developed IBIS models for several I/Os during their time at STMicroelectronics.

Amit Kumar completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2006. Amit continued their education at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, where they pursued a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Embedded Systems from 2020 to 2022.
