Kate Seamons is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in leadership and strategic communication. Currently serving as President of Newser since September 2007, Kate has successfully navigated the company from operating at a loss to profitability while managing budgets effectively. In addition to this role, Kate is the Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor at Ackermann Marketing & PR, contributing expertise in branding and communications for various clients. As Co-Founder of Rainy Day Boxes, Kate aims to provide meaningful support to those grieving. Previous roles include Content Manager at the Chicago Sun-Times, where Kate established the newspaper's first web-only content area, and Editor-in-Chief at Kitchens.com, where Kate enhanced trend information for kitchen design. Kate holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Northwestern University.
