John Cleland

John Cleland has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. John is currently the Co Founder & CEO of RenewWest, a position they have held since November 2017. In 2022, they joined KLĒR as an Advisory Board Member. In 2020, they became the Co-Founder of Aclymate. Prior to that, from August 2016 to November 2017, they worked as the Operations Manager and Sponsorship Lead at the Impact Finance Center, where they focused on impact investing and social finance. Before that, they held positions such as VP Managed Futures; IB Support at The Managed Account Company from October 2015 to July 2017, and VP Clearing Services - Managed Futures at Wedbush Securities from August 2012 to October 2015. John also co-founded and managed Pine Point Commodities Group, a hedge fund consulting firm specializing in self-directed trading environments, from January 2010 to October 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Middle Office Software Consultant at WTD Consulting, Inc. from December 2007 to January 2010, as a Fixed Income Trader at M&N Trading from 2005 to 2007, and as a Fixed Income Futures Trader at Geneva Trading from 2004 to 2005.

John Cleland attended Michigan State University from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Communication and Media Studies. Additionally, they have a certification in Series 3 from NFA/FINRA, although the date of obtaining this certification is unknown.
