ACM SIGGRAPH
Barbara Mones is an accomplished professional in the fields of animation and digital media with extensive experience since 1983 at ACM SIGGRAPH, currently serving as Director-At-Large and on various committees including the Education Committee and Distinguished Educator Award. Mones has been involved with DeTao Masters Academy as an Animation Production Consultant since 2013 and has held a position as Teaching Professor and Director of the UW CSE Reality Lab Studio at the University of Washington since 1999. Previous roles include Principal Investigator at Intel Corporation, Professor at the University of Tasmania, Erskine Fellow at the University of Canterbury, and curriculum designer at Industrial Light & Magic and DreamWorks Animation. Educational credentials include an MFA in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design, a BFA in Studio Art/Art History from the University of Michigan, and a post-graduate certificate in Animation from Sheridan College.
