Samara Shehata

Samara Shehata is a dedicated manager and peer specialist focused on health equity, health promotion, suicide prevention, and disability justice. Currently serving as the Manager of Ageing and Disability Programs at ACON, Samara has previously held significant roles such as Managing Director at Womyns Network for Unity and Manager of LGBTQ Health Equity at ACON. With a Master of Arts in Art Therapy from Western Sydney University and a Diploma in Social Media Marketing from the University of Technology Sydney, Samara combines academic knowledge with extensive experience in community engagement and program leadership. Samara's advocacy is driven by a firm belief in the transformative power of peer support and lived experience.
