Tim Chen

Tim Chen is a seasoned professional currently serving as a Project Officer at South Eastern Sydney Local Health District since January 2023. With a long-standing role at ACON since December 2012, Tim has made significant contributions as a Peer Educator and Testing Services Worker, where over 200 community-based HIV and STI testing services were provided, and a safe environment was created for client disclosures. Tim’s experience spans health education roles at Northern Sydney Local Health District and Multicultural HIV and Hepatitis Service, highlighted by substantial involvement in COVID-19 contact tracing and bilingual community engagement initiatives. Tim has also excelled in educational settings, serving as a Geography and Mandarin teacher, and has academic credentials including a Master of Cultural Studies from the University of Sydney and a Master of Teaching from Western Sydney University.
