Senior Data Scientist

Phil Clark, PhD, is a seasoned data scientist with significant expertise in marketing mix modeling (MMM) and measurement. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Acorns since October 2025, Phil previously held the same title at Mutinex from April 2024 to November 2025, where contributions included developing and validating numerous MMM models for clients with substantial budgets, enhancing model architecture, and co-authoring the mmm-eval package. Prior experience at Zwift from November 2022 to February 2024 involved working with DataBricks to create bayesian models, conduct customer segmentation analyses, and develop a custom experimentation framework. Phil's academic background includes a PhD in Neuroscience from Drexel University College of Medicine, a Master’s in Behavioral Neuroscience from Queens College, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The College of New Jersey, and an Associate’s Degree in Psychology from Raritan Valley Community College.
