Steve Sherman

Steve Sherman is the current head of risk at Acorns. Steve has over 20 years of experience in risk management, including stints at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and AT&T (Citibank) Universal Card.

Steve Sherman has been in the financial industry since 1999. Steve started their career as an analyst at AT&T (Citibank) Universal Card before moving to JPMorgan Chase & Co. in February 1999. There, they served as a risk managing director for collections. In August 2019, they left JPMorgan Chase & Co. to join Acorns as the head of risk.

Sherman received their BS in economics from the University of Florida.

Steve Sherman reports to Noah Kerner, CEO. They work with Patricia Gonzales - SVP, Human Resources, James Moorhead - Chief Marketing Officer, and David Hijirida - President.
