Charu Agarwal is an experienced engineering manager and software engineer with a strong background in developing and managing software solutions. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager at Acquia since February 2015, Charu has designed and developed a next-generation search API utilizing Apache Solr and various Amazon Web Services. Previous roles at Acquia include building software in a LAMP environment, developing tools for the Acquia Content Hub Drupal module, and enhancing the Searchandise Drupal module during an internship. Earlier experience includes founding an IT department at A Stonetech P.Ltd, where Charu created CMS web stores, and working at Tata Consultancy Services as a lead GUI developer in the banking and finance domain. Charu holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from BIT Mesra.
