Mark Trapp has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Mark started their career as a HelpDesk Manager at SUNY Geneseo in 2004, where they managed a team of employees providing technical support. Mark then worked as a Web Development Assistant at the same institution before moving on to Bear Brook Design in 2006. At Bear Brook Design, Mark served as an IT Manager, overseeing the company's IT infrastructure and serving as a technical consultant to clients.
In 2009, Mark joined Brandopoly as a Lead Developer, leading the rewrite of the Brandopoly platform from start to finish. Mark then joined Itafroma Enterprises in the same year as a Principal, providing technology coordination and consulting services to decentralized companies. During their time at Itafroma Enterprises, Mark also led the development and implementation of several web projects.
In 2015, Mark joined Acquia and has held various roles within the company since then. Mark started as a Software Engineer and later progressed to the positions of Senior Software Engineer, Principal Software Engineer, Technical Lead for Cloud API, and Senior Principal Software Engineer. Currently, they hold the role of Technical Lead for Frameworks at Acquia.
Mark Trapp attended SUNY Geneseo from 2002 to 2006, where they studied Philosophy. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including Acquia Certified Developer from Acquia in 2016, Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in December 2016, and completed Dale Carnegie Training in 2009.
