Tom Pygall

Tom Pygall is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in both private practice and public sector roles. Currently serving as Co-Head of Tax - Global, Head of Tax - Europe, and Head of Tax UK at Acquinex since February 2021, Tom specializes in overseeing tax risks associated with mergers and acquisitions and group reorganizations, while managing individual tax underwriters. Additionally, Tom is a member of the OECD Technical Advisory Group on Consumption Taxes, contributing expertise on VAT challenges related to digitalization. Previous positions include Tax Lawyer at Goodwin, Associate Director at Deloitte focusing on indirect taxes, and various roles at HM Treasury and HM Revenue & Customs, where Tom advised on tax policy and regulation. Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Nottingham and a Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course from Nottingham Law School.
