David Morton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. David is currently working as the VP of Engineering at Acquire.com since June 2021. Before that, they were the Backend & DevOps Lead at Epic! Kids, which was later acquired by BYJU'S, from June 2018 to June 2021.
David has also held various roles at Bizness Apps, starting as a Senior Architect from November 2014 to September 2015, and then becoming the VP of Engineering from September 2015 to June 2018. David was responsible for managing the BiznessApps platform and solving complex engineering problems.
Prior to Bizness Apps, David worked as an Application Developer at PNI Sensor Corporation from August 2014 to November 2014. David was also the Lead Developer & Director of Engineering at Rewired Health from November 2013 to August 2014, where they successfully delivered a working product after an outside contractor failed.
David's work experience also includes co-founding Oleo Apps Inc., where they built mobile products focused on language learning and later shifted to developing the BluFit smart water bottle. David worked with Oleo Apps Inc. from September 2012 to November 2013.
Before that, they were the Director of Engineering & Lead Developer at Crowdstar from March 2009 to September 2012. David played a significant role in new game development and was responsible for nearly half of Crowdstar's products.
David's early career includes working as the Director of Development at Just Arrive from June 2005 to March 2009, where they took over technical ownership of the J2EE ticketing kiosk and added new features to expand market opportunities. David also worked as a Software Engineer at SRA International from March 2002 to July 2005, where they were part of a small J2EE development team tasked with rewriting parts of the DoD DEERS system.
Overall, David Morton has extensive experience in engineering and development roles, with expertise in various technologies such as PHP, Java, Objective-C, and JavaScript.
David Morton attended Santa Rosa Junior College from 1997 to 2000, where they pursued a field of study in Computer Engineering. David then enrolled at the University of California, Davis from 2000 to 2002, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
