Chris Bolender has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Chris began their career in 1998 as a Cryptologic Technician Tactical in the US Navy, where they served until 2007. Following this, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Florida Atlantic University from 2004 to 2006 and co-founded the Film Club at the university from 2002 to 2005. In 2004, they also co-owned iMoments Media, LLC.
In 2010, Chris served as a Senior Traffic Director in the Marine Air Control Squadron 1, where they directed military human-crewed and unmanned aircraft missions. Chris was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for implementing unmanned SOP.
From 2011 to 2013, they served as the Detachment Commander and Senior Director of Operations in Marine Air Control Squadrons 1 and 4. Chris oversaw various defense assets and led successful North Korean missile defense operations. During this time, they were awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for their achievements.
Following their career in the military, Chris worked as a Business Development Consultant at 55 Innovations, Shoreline Aerospace from 2017 to 2018. Chris provided consultancy services for aerospace companies.
Chris then transitioned to the role of Director of Operations (Executive Hardware) at Do it Best Corp. from 2018 to 2022. In this capacity, they directed and supervised daily operations, implemented operating procedures, and developed strategies for operational workflow enhancement.
Currently, Chris is an Engineer Program Manager at ACR Electronics, Inc. starting from 2023.
Chris Bolender has a varied education history. Chris completed their Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Dramatic Writing at the Savannah College of Art and Design from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Media Studies from Florida Atlantic University in 2006.
In terms of military education, Chris attended the Military Air Ground Combat Center, MAWTS-1, where they obtained the title of Weapons and Tactics Instructor in Air and Ground Combat Strategy and Planning in 2011. Chris also attended the Marine Corps University from 2010 to 2013, where they completed the Expeditionary Warefare School, focusing on Military Combat Operational Planning and Leadership. In 2008, Chris attended the Marine Officer "The Basic School," where they studied Tactical Warfare. Prior to that, in 2007, they completed their training at the Marine Corps Officer Training School and became a Commissioned Officer.
Additionally, Chris has obtained a few certifications over the years. In 2013, they obtained a certification in Expeditionary Warefare School from the Marine Corps University. In 2011, they obtained a certification in Weapons and Tactics Instructor from the Marine Air Ground Combat Center. Prior to their military education, in 2001, Chris acquired a certification as an Electronic Warefare Senior Operator: Anti-ship Missile Defense watch supervisor from the US Navy.
