Ellen Rutherford

Ellen Rutherford is an experienced leader with a strong background in sustainability, arts, and social integration. Currently serving as a Board Member for Women and Climate since September 2024 and as Managing Director - Americas at Acre since July 2021, Ellen has a proven track record in driving organizational growth and change. Previous roles include Chair of the Board of Trustees for Invisible Flock, Director of Transformation at Star Academies, and Consultant to the Senior Leadership Team at the Youth Endowment Fund. Ellen's extensive tenure at The Challenge saw significant contributions as Operations Director and Deputy CEO, overseeing a substantial budget and large team while leading programs for youth integration. Ellen holds a B.A. in English Literature from The University of Sheffield.
