Robert Barbey

Robert Barbey has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Robert started their career as a Research Assistant at Universität des Saarlandes in 2003. From 2004 to 2008, they worked as a Research Assistant at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence. In 2005, they briefly worked as a Web Administration and Design professional at Star Entertainment. In 2008, Robert joined Acrolinx as a Software Engineer, where they initially focused on maintaining plug-ins for editor software and later transitioned to server development. Robert gradually progressed within the company and took on roles such as Technical Product Manager and Principal Software Engineer. Ultimately, Robert became Team Lead Integrations & UI, responsible for client-side development, SDKs, and APIs, while managing a team of developers. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Team Lead Frontend Development and in 2015, they became Team Lead Core Platform. From 2021 to 2022, Robert served as the Delivery Lead - Enterprise Foundation at Acrolinx. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Engineer, utilizing their expertise and experience in the company.

Robert Barbey attended the Universität des Saarlandes from 2001 to 2008, where they obtained a Diploma in Computer Science and Computational Linguistics. In 2004, they also spent a period as an exchange student at The University of Edinburgh, studying Computer Science. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Warming Up With Ember.js" from Code School in 2014.
