Danuta Mazurel is an experienced researcher and academic, currently a PhD student at ACTA focused on a project regarding the employment of oral biofilm for caries prevention, utilizing microbiological methods. Danuta has held various research internships, including a position at AMC associated with HIV-1 vaccination strategies, as well as internships at UMC Utrecht and FISABIO focusing on health determinants and microbiome effects on health. Danuta has also contributed to the academic community as a member and vice-president of the ACTA PhD council and has held positions at the Universiteit van Amsterdam and Macintosh Retail Group. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a Master of Science in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences.
