Joris Muris

Joris Muris is an assistant professor in the Department of Restorative and Reconstructive Oral Health Care at ACTA, where they conduct research on adverse reactions to dental materials, particularly palladium and titanium, focusing on the immunological implications. As a dentist specialized in restorative dentistry, Joris advocates for metal-free dentistry and serves as president of the Dutch Society of Medical and Dental Interactions to raise awareness about the connection between oral and general health. Previously, they held the position of Clinic Director in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at ACTA and have contributed to various boards and educational initiatives in the dental field. Joris holds a Ph.D. from ACTA, where they studied palladium allergy in relation to dentistry.
