Jonathan Parkin

Jonathan Parkin is a retired independent consultant with 37 years of experience as a metallurgist and materials engineer, specializing in aerospace materials and processes. They began their career at Rolls Royce Leavesden from 1976 to 1982 before moving to Smith Clayton Forge, where they served as a Senior Metallurgist. Jonathan then worked at Pratt & Whitney Canada from 1985 to 2008, holding various technical roles and eventually managing a team of materials engineers, directing materials development and integration. Since 2016, they have been a Materials Specialist with Actalent. Jonathan holds a BSc in Metallurgy from Birmingham University, which they earned in 1976.
