Nicolas Boudaud

Nicolas Boudaud is a seasoned professional in the fields of virology and microbiology, currently serving as Directeur scientifique and Responsable Service Virologie at ACTALIA since November 2012. Nicolas specializes in food safety concerning virology and bacteriology, focusing on the risks associated with enteric viruses in food and water, and leads the UMT VIROcontrol in partnership with the LCPME. Prior to this, Nicolas gained expertise as a Chercheur Confirmé at Veolia Environnement from September 2008 to October 2012, where responsibilities included ensuring the safety of drinking and wastewater treatment processes and improving seawater desalination techniques. Nicolas holds an Habilitation à diriger des recherches in Virology from Université de Caen Normandie, completed in March 2022, and a Research Doctorate in Microbiology from the same institution awarded in 2012.
