Hashini Perera is a dedicated Project Officer currently engaged with Acted on a Europe Union funded Plastics project, focusing on sustainable and inclusive circular economy initiatives in Sri Lanka. Previous experience includes serving as a Research Assistant for the Resource Advancement Team on a global flagship program addressing plastic waste management, where significant data collection and analysis were conducted. Additionally, Hashini contributed as a Project Assistant with the Human and Environment Link Progressive Organization (HELP-O) on waste management projects and has volunteered in various environmental initiatives. Earlier roles include a Trainee Special Planner with the Mahaweli Authority and a Banking Assistant at Seylan Bank. Hashini holds a Bachelor’s degree in Town and Country Planning from the University of Moratuwa and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Environmental Management at the University of Colombo.
