Lawrence M. Paska

Lawrence M. Paska, Ph.D., CAE, currently serves as the Executive Director of ACTFL, where they focus on enhancing language education and supporting cultural diversity. Previously, they held the position of Executive Director at the National Council for Social Studies from 2016 to 2024, guiding professional development for educators across the nation. Their extensive background in education includes roles as a social studies teacher and various leadership positions at both the district and state levels, complemented by a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the State University of New York at Albany. They are committed to lifelong learning and the advancement of educational practices.
