Pam Benton

American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Board of Directors

Pam Benton is a retired PreK-12 World Languages Specialist who dedicated over two decades to Pinellas County Schools in Florida, focusing on Spanish and French instruction. They served as a teacher for both Pinellas Virtual School and traditional classrooms, teaching advanced placement courses and utilizing technology for live classes. Pam has held leadership roles in various educational organizations, including serving as President of the Florida Foreign Language Association and being a member of the ACTFL Board of Directors. Currently, Pam is the President-Elect of the Southern Conference on Language Teaching and continues to contribute to language education through various roles. They have advanced degrees in Education and Educational Leadership from National-Louis University and a Bachelor's degree in Education and Spanish from William Jewell College.
