Thomas Wagener

Thomas Wagener is a Senior Operations Executive, Program and Policy Director, Academic Leader, and Military Pilot with extensive experience in leadership and operations management. They served as the Director of Area Studies at the United States Naval Academy from 2010 to 2022, managing faculty and implementing academic programs while also coordinating language requirements for the U.S. Navy. Currently, Wagener is the Director of Contracts and Compliance at ACTFL, overseeing professional training for federal and civilian employees. They hold a PhD in Second Language Acquisition from the University of Maryland College Park, an MA in International Commerce from Universidad del Salvador, and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. Wagener is a trilingual communicator and a published researcher.
