Lead Content Strategist at Actian

Jeff Levitt started their work experience in 2000 at IBM as a Technical writer and open source evangelist. Jeff pioneered the migration of all IBM Software Group documentation to open-source DITA format and earned the annual elite bonus level for their exceptional performance. Jeff also invented a customer-centric information management system and created an open-source wiki collaboration system that served as a model for all teams at IBM. Additionally, they founded and led a team to explore and implement group collaboration and information delivery technology, and supervised four cross-functional teams through the product life-cycle. In 2008, Levitt became a Senior Content Strategist at IBM, where they implemented a new "content hub" strategy for Data, Analytics, and AI documentation. Jeff also led a strategic initiative to restructure the information across brands into customizable modules. Finally, in 2023, Levitt became a Lead Content Strategist at Actian.

Jeff Levitt holds an MBA degree in Strategy from UCLA Anderson School of Management, which they obtained from 2006 to 2008. Jeff also has a Master of Science degree in Technical Communications with a minor in Human-Computer Interaction from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, completed from 1999 to 2000. In addition, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Media Arts & Communication (EMAC) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Jeff Levitt has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including IBM Growth Behaviors, Introduction to Python from Microsoft and IBM, Introduction to machine learning in Python with scikit-learn from IBM, and several others.
