Karl Lyell

Karl Lyell is currently a Senior Avalanche Support Engineer at Actian, a position held since November 2023. Prior to this role, Karl served as a Quantitative Financial Professional at SS&C Technologies from January 2020 to September 2023. Between October 2012 and January 2020, Karl was a Senior Consultant in Integration Engineering and Business Analytics at IBM. From May 2001 to October 2012, Karl progressed from an Integration Engineer to a Senior Integration Engineer at Algorithmics, where responsibilities included the installation, maintenance, and support of software solutions for market, credit, and operational risk, alongside mentoring new hires and supporting live clients. Karl possesses extensive knowledge of databases at a DBA level, operating systems at a system administrator level, and various scripting and programming languages.
