Stefan Bretzel has extensive work experience in software development and engineering. Stefan is currently working as a Software Developer at ACTICO since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at LANconcept Moll GmbH from July 2020 to April 2021.
Before that, Stefan worked at science + computing ag where they held various roles. Stefan started as a Software Engineer in March 2012 and later became a Senior Software Engineer from April 2015 to July 2020. During their time at science + computing ag, they worked on customer projects in the automotive, public sector, and pharmaceutical industries. Stefan also developed software solutions for the operations teams and established a competence center for quantum computing. Stefan's skills include Python, Django, Hadoop, and Java.
Prior to their work at science + computing ag, Stefan was a Junior Scientist/PhD student at TU Delft/Stichting FOM from June 2007 to December 2011. Stefan'sresearch focused on the interactions of mechanical and magnetic degrees of freedom in nanomechanical systems. Stefan performed analytical calculations, wrote scientific publications, and presented their work at conferences. Stefan also had teaching responsibilities for a mechanics course.
Stefan has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Konstanz from October 2006 to March 2007. Additionally, they served as a Research Assistant at the University of Konstanz from September 2004 to May 2005, where they were involved in typesetting a book on entangled systems, quantum information theory, and quantum computing.
Lastly, Stefan completed an internship at ZF Friedrichshafen in the department for technical acoustics from June 2004 to August 2004. During this internship, they developed a mathematical model to describe the noise spectrum generated by planetary gear boxes.
Stefan Bretzel's education history begins with their high school studies at Graf-Zeppelin-Gymnasium Friedrichshafen from 1990 to 1999, where they obtained their Abitur. After completing high school, they pursued their higher education in the field of Physics at the University of Konstanz from 2000 to 2007, earning a Diplom degree.
During their time at the University of Konstanz, they also had the opportunity to study abroad as a graduate exchange student at Western University from 2003 to 2004, further deepening their knowledge in Physics.
Following their undergraduate studies, Stefan went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Theoretical Physics at TU Delft from 2007 to 2011. This marked the culmination of their academic journey, where they specialized in the theoretical aspects of physics.
Overall, Stefan Bretzel has a diverse education history, starting from their high school education and progressing through undergraduate and graduate studies, ultimately culminating in a PhD in Theoretical Physics.
