Loïc Galland

Loïc Galland has worked in the software engineering industry since 2010. Loïc began their career as an Intern Web Developer at Shopmedia Inc. in 2010. In 2013, they joined Midland Valley as a Software Engineer, where they developed and maintained a structural geology modelling and analysis software using C++11 and Qt. Loïc collaborated with a team of geologists to define requirements and develop new tools based on their feedback, as well as implemented multi-threading algorithms to optimise calculation time and improved software quality by following Agile methodologies. In 2017, they joined Actify, Inc. as a Software Engineer, and was later promoted to Senior Software Engineer and Lead Engineer.

Loïc Galland's education history includes a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow, obtained in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from Robert Gordon University in 2012. Loïc also holds a two-year intensive university diploma (DUT) in Computer Science from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, obtained in 2010. Additionally, they obtained an A-level in Economics from Martinière Diderot High School in 2008. Loïc also holds three certifications from LinkedIn: Visual Studio Deep Dive: Unit Tests (obtained in September 2022), TeamCity 2017 Essential Training (obtained in June 2022), and JavaScript Essential Training (obtained in October 2020).
