Benjamin Chomarat

Benjamin Chomarat has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Benjamin started their career as a Technical Assistant in Communication and IT at SDIS 69 in 2007. After that, they had an internship at Thales Avionics working on pressure sensors. Benjamin then worked as a Private Tutor in Mathematics and Physics at Acadomia before joining ST Microelectronics as an Image Signal Processing Engineering Intern in the Imaging Division.

In 2012, Benjamin interned at Apple as an Embedded Camera Engineering Intern in the Camera Hardware & Systems team. Their responsibilities included developing new color shading calibration for the iPhone camera and implementing automatic data acquisition and processing.

From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Smart Camera Research Engineer at CEA, where they were involved in technological research and development. Subsequently, they joined Kwanko - Swelen as a Python Developer and Software Engineer.

In 2016, Benjamin held the position of Research Engineer in New Technologies Analysis and Development at IGN - French Mapping Agency, where they specialized in analyzing and developing new technologies. At the same time, they joined Actility as an R&D Engineer, leading multiple projects focused on scalability with distributed systems.

Most recently, Benjamin co-founded Lagopy in 2019, where they work as a Software Developer Freelance. Benjamin continues to expand their expertise in software development and entrepreneurship.

Benjamin Chomarat completed their Baccalauréat in Sciences from Assomption Bellevue in 2005. Benjamin then pursued higher education at CPE Lyon, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Electronics, Telecommunications, and Computer Science, studying there from 2005 to 2012. In 2011 and 2012, they also attended the University of Calgary, where they obtained another Master of Science (MSc) degree, this time in Computer Engineering.
