Dean Riddle

Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Action Apps

Dean Riddle has a diverse work experience in the field of sports performance. Dean began their career as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Sheffield United Football Club in 1999 and later held the same role at Leeds United Football Club until 2006. During this time, they also served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Castleford Tigers Rugby League Club from 2006 to 2008 and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at The Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 2007.

In 2008, Riddle transitioned into a Performance Consultant role, working with Ferencvárosi Torna Club and Sheffield United Football Club until 2011. Dean then moved to Nike as the SPARQ - Director Performance Network, where they established and managed a network of high-performance practitioners and sports science experts from 2011 to 2014.

Riddle gained further experience as an Applied Sports Scientist and Special Projects lead at the Seattle Seahawks from 2014 to 2020. In this role, they focused on technology, process, and integrated performance solutions for athletes and coaches.

Dean'smost recent position was as a Performance Consultant at KYP Consulting, a sports consultancy company, where they provided a range of services and technology across various sports environments globally.

Currently, they hold the position of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Action Apps, where they contribute strategic insights, product development, and support for a custom-built athlete management platform called Power AMS.

Dean Riddle holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sports and Exercise Science from Leeds Beckett University. Dean completed their education at Leeds Beckett University in 2008.
