Alma Balan

Alma Balan is a seasoned professional in regulatory affairs and quality management, currently serving as the Regulatory Affairs Manager for Action since July 2025, where responsibilities include ensuring compliance with European Union and national legislation and managing product recalls. Previously, Alma worked at Kingfisher plc as a Quality & Production Engineer in the DIY/Home Improvement sector, overseeing factory audits and supplier quality management. From August 2010 to February 2020, Alma was with TUV Austria Romania as an Industrial Process Safety Analysis and Quality Management Professional, focusing on process safety activities and managing the Quality Management System. Prior experiences include serving as a Lifting Equipment Inspector at TÜV NORD GROUP and a Research Assistant at “Politehnica” University of Bucharest, where contributions were made to a bilateral project on power quality in active distribution networks. Alma holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from “Politehnica” University of Bucharest, obtained in 2008.
