Madelein Smal

Madelein Smal is an experienced International Tax Manager at Action since July 2022, previously serving as a Senior Tax Manager and Tax Manager at PwC Nederland from January 2011 to June 2022, where responsibilities included providing tax advice to Dutch private businesses, listed companies, family businesses, and non-profit organizations in international markets. Madelein began the career as a Tax Consultant and completed a traineeship as a Tax Trainee, combining professional practice with academic advancement. Prior to working in tax, Madelein was an Administrative Assistant at Emcart. Academic qualifications include a Master of Laws (LLM) in Tax Law from Maastricht University, a course in United States Tax Law from Leiden University, and a Master of Arts in Advanced European and International Studies from L'Institut Europeén des Hautes Études Internationales, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Taal- en Cultuurstudies from Utrecht University.
