Nathan Blaxall has been working in the IT industry since 1999. From 1999 to 2002, they worked as a Sentinel Support Specialist for Logical Networks Ltd (since bought by IBM). From 2002 to 2007, they worked as a Service Delivery Specialist for TELECOM CORPORATION OF NEW ZEALAND LIMITED, where they developed automated Linux/Unix Bash & Perl scripts to support the management of 20,000 Cisco Routers & Switches. From 2007 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Support Specialist / Network Engineer for Spark New Zealand (formerly Telecom New Zealand Ltd), where they developed automated Linux/Unix Bash & Perl scripts to support the management of thousands of Cisco Routers & Switches. Since 2015, they have been working as a Systems/Linux/Cloud administrator for Actionstep.

Nathan Blaxall's education history includes attending Rosehill College, followed by obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics from The University of Auckland in 1990, a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Engineering Science from The University of Auckland in 1993, and a Graduate Diploma in Teacher Education (Secondary) from Auckland University of Technology in 1998.
